The United States of America clinched a commanding 31-run win over Namibia in the 26th Match of Group A at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.With the option to bat first, USA were able to score 199 runs in their 20 overs, almost at a rate of 10 runs/over (10.05). The aggressive intent they displayed during their innings and the many productive partnerships they built kept Namibia on the back foot for most of their innings. A strong start in the powerplay (65 runs) created an ideal base for what ultimately became an unreachable score for Namibia.

In particular, Monank Patel got the team off to a strong start as he scored 52 runs off 30 balls and Sanjay Krishnamurthi scored an impressive 68 not out from only 33 balls, including six maximums. Milind Kumar contributed 28 runs and Shubham Ranjane added valuable runs late in the innings to push the total to close to 200 runs. Namibia's wicket-taker Willem Myburgh and his captain Gerhard Erasmus took 2 wickets each but this was insufficient to contain the flow of runs from the USA's innings.

 In pursuit of 200, Namibia began brightly, collecting 57 runs in the powerplay to stay in contention. Louren Steenkamp top-scored with a composed 58, and Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton contributed 28, but timely breakthroughs disrupted their rhythm. Shadley van Schalkwyk struck twice, while Saurabh Netravalkar and Ali Khan controlled the closing stages with disciplined spells. Namibia finished on 168 for 6, falling short by 31 runs as USA sealed a confident and well-rounded victory.
