Winning their first title way back in 2008, Rajasthan Royals (RR) strives hard to win their second-ever title, especially with their big and bold moves of a trade deal, relieving their long-term batting powerhouse, Sanju Samson, for the ever-reliable allrounder, Ravindra Jadeja and youngster Sam Curran from CSK.

While their batting department looks strong, RR might consider adding depth to the line-up by buying a stable batter. However, with some serious loopholes in bowling, they are likely to target spinners as well as a reliable overseas pacer in the 2026 IPL Mini Auction. That being said, here we look at the top three players for RR to target in the forthcoming 2026 IPL Mini Auction.  

1. Prithvi Shaw

Prithvi Shaw could be an intriguing pick by the Rajasthan Royals. With Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi expected to open, Shaw might be a perfect match at No. 3, especially since Sanju Samson's move to CSK left the spot available.

Shaw's extensive local experience and international exposure prepare him to handle a variety of conditions and bowling attacks. His ability to take on bowlers immediately following the powerplay might offer the team the ideal bridge between the openers and the middle order, bolstering their chances of winning a second IPL crown.

2. Wanindu Hasaranga

Wanindu Hasaranga's IPL 2025 campaign with Rajasthan Royals (RR) fell far short of expectations, with only 11 wickets in 11 matches, leading to his departure. Franchises searching for an impact T20 package, wickets, lower-order hitting, and experience may actively pursue him.

It is probably evident that RR would not easily abandon an international spinner. Hasaranga, on the other hand, is still regarded as one of the world's best T20 leg-spinners. His achievement in the IPL 2022, when he finished with 26 wickets for RCB, solidified his reputation in Indian conditions. In 37 matches, he has 46 wickets at an economy rate of 8.41. 

3. Kyle Jamieson

Kyle Jamieson has the potential to boost the Rajasthan Royals' pacers lineup. The tall pacer has previous IPL experience, having played for RCB in 2021 and as a substitute for PBKS in 2025. Jamieson offers bounce and variation, which are important characteristics for Indian pitches.

With Jofra Archer expected to lead the attack, Jamieson can provide support with the new ball and in the middle overs. His lower-order hitting adds depth to RR's lineup, making him a solid all-around choice. In 13 IPL matches, he has grabbed 14 vital wickets at a mid economy rate of 9.67.
