1. Nitish Kumar Reddy

Nitish Kumar Reddy made headlines in 2024 with his all-around excellence. Reddy, a hard-hitting batter and a skilled seam bowler was instrumental in his team's success in domestic championships. His ability to adapt to new conditions and produce in all areas makes him one of the most promising young players to watch.

His outstanding efforts won him a spot in India's team for the current 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, in which he has shined with both bat and ball. Like his colleague Abhishek Sharma, Nitish established his way with impressive rising player performances for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Debuted in the Test and T20I formats, he has made 179 runs and 90 runs, respectively, with a nice strike-rate backing.

2. Abhishek Sharma

Abhishek Sharma had a memorable year, establishing himself as a reliable all-rounder from 2024. Sharma, known for his daring strokeplay and effective left-arm spin, dominated regional competitions and franchise cricket before making his national debut in the T20I series against Zimbabwe. His ability to anchor innings or accelerate when necessary made him a valuable addition to his club in a short period.

Sharma, who credits his stellar start to his time with the Sunrisers Hyderabad, has the potential to be the next big thing in terms of a swashbuckling top-order batter. In 12 T20I matches, he has scored 256 runs, including one half-century and a triple-digit figure, at a gigantic strike rate of 172.

3. Mayank Yadav

Mayank Yadav, India's teenage pacer, has Indian fans thrilled with his bowling pace after making his T20 international debut for the Men in Blue against Bangladesh on October 6 in Gwalior. Mayank made headlines last year for bowling the quickest ball by any Indian bowler to date for the Lucknow Super Giants in the previous IPL season.

He established the record at 156.7 kmph, earning his first national team appearance. Though the dangerous bowler was ruled out in the middle of the IPL season, his abilities spoke for themselves. He showed potential to the selectors, allowing him to represent his nation. His international stats in the T20I format include four wickets in three matches, with an economy of 6.9.

4. Harshit Rana

Harshit Rana emerged as a formidable debutant pacer in 2024, frequently registering fast speeds and tormenting hitters with bounce and accuracy. His outstanding 2023 season culminated in an IPL title in 2024; he was KKR's joint second-highest wicket-taker and fourth overall in the competition. As the title says, his domestic cricket and IPL accomplishments drew attention, and he quickly won his national cap.

Rana made a compelling debut, contributing significantly to India's victory against Australia in the first Test of the current 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy series in Perth. He took four wickets at an economy rate of just 4.5 in two Test matches, indicating a bright combatant for the team with the ball.

5. Riyan Parag

Riyan Parag debuted for the Indian cricket squad in the T20I series against Zimbabwe. Parag scored the third-most runs in IPL 2024, with 573 for the Rajasthan Royals, who finished third. His outstanding season, batting at number four, made it hard for the selectors to overlook him, as a youthful India squad was selected for the five-match T20I trip to Zimbabwe.

After a dry spell in his career during 2022-23 period, Parag has made a remarkable and perfect comeback in domestic and IPL cricket, contributing significantly with the bat, bowling, and on-field agility. In his ongoing stint of nine T20Is and an ODI match, he has made 106 runs and 15 runs, respectively. Also, he has scalped four wickets in the T20I format and three wickets in the ODI format.
