After taking retirements from T20I and Tests, they were out of action for a long time, and then the wicket. The surface of the Optus Stadium looked good for pacers. On their home soil, Aussie pacers did their job precisely. Rohit was looking good on the track, but the movement Josh Hazlewood generated was enough to trap the right-handed batter. Starc took the wicket of Kohli. 

The weather condition too was not favorable for the batting side on a fresh track. Under a heavy sky, batting was difficult against the new ball and the quality bowling of team Australia. As of now, the match has stopped due to rain; Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel are the batters on the crease.
