Team India marches into the final of the Asia Cup 2025. After defeating archrival Pakistan in the Super Four round, the Men in Blue swiftly won against Bangladesh (IND vs BAN Asia Cup 2025)as well. With the second consecutive win in the round of super fours, as expected, India, the champion of the T20I World Cup, confirmed a place in the summit clash. Abhishek Sharma was named as Man of the Match for this brilliant 75-run knock against Bangladesh.

Toss and second innings

Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first. The stand-in captain, Jaker Ali, expected help from the surface in the second innings while chasing a target. Bangladesh went to face India after a thriller win against Sri Lanka. Ahead of the crucial match, their regular skipper, Litton, said he received an injury during a practice session and was ruled out from the clash. Bangladesh made multiple changes for the March 16 of the ongoing Asia Cup but without proving any effect. They tried to bowl tightly but mainly fell short during batting. India, for the exchange of 6 wickets, registered 168 runs in the first innings. During the middle part of the innings, Bangladeshi bowlers tried to make their grip strong, but a 38 off 29 from Hardik Pandya helped India to post a competitive total.

Second Innings

Saif Hassan (69) emerged as the lone warrior for Bangladesh while chasing the target in the second innings. Hardik Pandya was a little bit expensive, but Jasprit Bumrah provided India an early breakthrough. Kuldeep Yadav again proved his importance during crucial moments of the match. During the 17th over, he took 2 wickets in 2 balls and changed the whole complexion of the clash. Against India's spin attack, Bangladesh's batting order was baffled and eventually collapsed. Eight batters of Bangladesh lost their scalps without claiming double-digit runs.
