The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the much-awaited squad for the Asia Cup 2025. The scheduled press conference started late because of adverse weather conditions in Mumbai. As it was predicted before, Surykumar Yadav will lead the side. There were some doubts over his availability because of fitness issues, but he is now all set to play the prestigious tournament.

India, the defending champion of the 2025 Asia Cup, named a balanced squad with a few surprising entries. The middle order remained as a puzzle for the Indian cricket fans, as there were too many contenders to represent the Men in Blue for the tournament. Like some previous high-voltage competitions, Jasprit Bumrah's future for the Asia Cup was under doubt, but BCCI cleared all the air around the topic. The Asia Cup 2025 is all set to start on September 9 through a hybrid model, where India will face their archrivals Pakistan in Dubai. For this year's campaign, a total of 8 teams will fight for the title. India and Pakistan are in Group A along with UAE and Oman, while Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are sharing Group B with Afghanistan and Hong Kong.

India's full squad for Asia Cup 2025:
