RCB IPL

Huge news has recently emerged regarding Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Indian Premier League (IPL), from their official Instagram account, chose to stop following Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the recently crowned champion of IPL 2025.

This development caught cricket fans' eyes amid the tension for the tragic incident in the Garden City, where 11 people lost their lives and left many injured due to a stampede-like situation outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. When the entire RCB team was receiving the warm reception and felicitations on the ground, a totally chaotic scene left people outside the stadium.

A countless number of people were on the road to celebrate with their favorite IPL team for winning the 2025 edition. But all of a sudden, due to some wrong decisions, the hour of joy turned into an hour of tragedy. According to the news, an FIR has been registered against Virat Kohli, the star attraction of the team, and the marketing head of the team has been arrested.

IPL RCB

In the past, the IPL governing body showed zero tolerance policy

Now, one step further, some people also started to demand the ban of Royal Challengers Bengaluru from the IPL. In the past, the governing body of the tournament had taken the tough decision to ban teams like Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. These two teams were not in the parts of IPL 2016 and IPL 2017. CSK was alleged of betting scandals in 2013, and for RR, their past owner, Raj Kundra, heavily charged for betting activities. Thus, the governing body of the tournament had to take the harsh decision, which was to ban these two teams for a couple of seasons to maintain the status of the competition.

With the previous instances, a part of cricket fans were speculating about the future of RCB in the cash-rich tournament. A concrete decision or conclusion is yet to come to find the answer. But for now, RCB fans can be in anxiety, as IPL unfollowed RCB on Instagram.
