Pakistan finally bounced back. They produced the highest total of the 3-match T20I series to defeat Bangladesh at Dhaka. Before the third match, Bangladesh was leading the series 2-0, and the winner of the series was already decided. For Pakistan, it was the match to save their prestige. And they did that with style. Batting first, the visiting side scored 178, losing 7 wickets.

Sahibzada Farhan, the opener of the team, scored another fifty-plus innings to show his individual brilliance. It was his second half-century in his last three matches. The opening pair of Pakistan put 82 runs on the scoreboard to make a sustainable foundation for a fighting score. Taskin Ahmed, with his 3 wickets, was the best bowler of the evening for Bangladesh.

Salman Ali Agha, skipper of Pakistan, used seven different bowlers to destabilize the Bangladesh batting order. Salman Mirza proved most effective with the ball by taking 3 scalps and braces for Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Nawaz. Mohammad Saifuddin's solo performance was not sufficient to prevent Pakistan from winning the game. He scored an unbeaten 35, and the team lost the rest of the wickets for only 104. Pakistan won the match by 74 runs.

Comments from the winning captain

"Very proud of the effort. The never-give-up attitude was there on display, and today the team had many contributions from different players," Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha said.

"Sahibzada Farhan's knock was heartening to see the way he played… Hasan Nawaz and Mohammad Nawaz also played good cameos. Salman Mirza has been a top performer throughout the series, and he continued the consistent performance even today."
