Indian cricketer Karun Nair once again got a good start in the Lord's Test but lost his wicket at the crucial moment, when he should have capitalised on his innings. Fans are divided on his performances after his Test comeback.

In the Lord's Test, after England scored 387 all out in the first innings, India lost the in-form opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (13) early in the second over of the innings, as Jofra Archer took the wicket on his third ball after returning to Test cricket more than four years later. While the new ball is working well on the Lord's pitch, the no.3 batter Karun Nair provided strong support to the other in-form opener KL Rahul, even while facing a tougher situation.

Karun Nair had a good partnership with KL Rahul and scored 40 runs

Nair had a crucial 61-run partnership with Rahul for the second wicket. After scoring a well-fought 40 runs, which was Nair's second-highest score in a Test innings, the highest was obviously 303 not out in the 2016 Chennai Test against England, he was caught by the English legend Joe Root at the slip. It was a great catch by Root, who set a new record for most catches by a non-wicketkeeper in Test cricket history with that catch.

In this English tour, which is Karun Nair's first Test cricket action in seven years, he has scored 0, 20, 31, 26, and the latest 40 runs. However, to impress and secure his place in the Indian Test team, he must have to play stronger innings in the next few chances. One thing is pretty sure that his limited opportunity time is running out.
