Cheteshwar Pujara recalled the moment when former England skipper Michael Vaughan predicted a 4-0 whitewash for India in 2020-21 Australia. Pujara, before the ongoing England vs. India first match of the five-test series, introduced a photo on camera, where he framed Vaughan's 4-0 prediction and asked him to sign the photo of his tweet.

The incident happened just before the beginning of the Headingley Test, during a post-match session by the experts. This act by Cheteshwar Pujara on camera is considered an absolute statement by the Indian cricket fans. "Told ya ... India is going to get hammered in the Test Series ... #AUSvIND #4-0," Vaughan had tweeted after India's shocking batting collapse in Adelaide.

In the first match of that series, team India's batting collapsed in the second innings. The Virat Kohli-led team bundled for only 36 runs, and Australia got a comfortable win. Vaughan's tweet came after the match. But the away side bounced back brilliantly and won the series by 2-1.

Vaughan's prediction can prove wrong again

For the ongoing England vs. India 5-match Test series, the former cricketer, currently a cricket expert, predicted that the series could be settled in favor of England 3-1. As the host nation, and after the retirements of Ravichandran Ashwin, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli, many cricket experts considered England as the favorite to win the series.

But in terms of talent and strength on pen and paper, India and England have almost an equal amount of chances to clinch the series. Both sides are containing multiple young cricketers and a few experienced players to guide the budding cricketers.
