Delhi Premier League 2025 (DPL 2025) is making the headlines for the auction. Multiple high-profile players were up to try their luck. Two new teams are included in the tournament to add some more spice to the title race. For the auction, all the participating franchises were allowed to spend INR 1.50 crore in the auction. All the existing teams were allowed to retain one player from their previous squads. The new teams had the option to select one player each once the previous ones had finalized their retentions. There were facilities to use RTM cards also. The existing teams were allowed to use RTM for only one instance, but not for the Marquee segment players. 

List of retained players ahead of DPL 2025 auction:

• New Delhi Tigers – Himmat Singh (Marquee, Draft)
• Puraani Dilli 6 – Rishabh Pant (Marquee)
• North Delhi Strikers – Harshit Rana (Marquee)
• South Delhi Superstarz – Ayush Badoni (Marquee)
• Outer Delhi Warriors – Priyansh Arya (Marquee, Draft)
• East Delhi Riders – Anuj Rawat (Marquee)
• West Delhi Lions – Ayush Doseja (A)
• Central Delhi Kings – Jonty Sidhu (A)

Players in the tournament are divided into a total of four categories, including the most expensive segment for marquee players.

List of segments and base prices:

• Marquee – Rs 21 lakh
• Category A – Rs 10 lakh
• Category B – Rs 4.50 lakh
• Category C – Rs 1.50 lakh
