In Match 7 of the 2025 Global Super League season, the Central Stags bounced back well with a much-needed 16-run victory over the Hobart Hurricanes at the Providence Stadium, Guyana. In reply, the Hurricanes fell short, ending at 151/8 in 20 overs. Mohammad Nabi once again led the charge with 43 off 25 balls, and Fabian Allen contributed a quick 36 off 16, but regular wickets and tight bowling from Ajaz Patel (2/18) and Blair Tickner (2/34) kept the pressure on, denying Hobart the chase.

With this result, Central Stags opened their account in GSL 2025 with their first win, but due to a poor net run rate, they remain in last place with 2 points. Hobart Hurricanes, after their second loss in three games, stay in third position with 2 points and a positive NRR of +0.122.
