GSL 2025: Points Table

In Match 9 of the 2025 Global Super League, Guyana Amazon Warriors dominated by a 4-wicket margin over Hobart Hurricanes at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. Hobart Hurricanes, who chose to bat first, crumbled under pressure, scoring only 125 in 16.1 overs. Fabian Allen (28 off 20) and Mohammad Nabi (21 off 22) were the only notable contributors, while Gudakesh Motie spun a web around the middle and lower order with 3/9 from 3.1 overs. Moeen Ali (2/17) and Imran Tahir (2/35) also played key roles in restricting Hobart to a below-par total.

Chasing 126, the Warriors were explosive upfront, with Shimron Hetmyer smashing 39 off just 10 balls to put the hosts ahead early. Moeen Ali anchored the innings with a steady 30 off 36, while Gudakesh Motie (19* off 13) finished the chase in the 17th over.
Billy Stanlake battled bravely with the ball for the Hurricanes, taking 3/21 in 3.3 overs, but  lacked support as the Warriors reached 128/6 in 16.3 overs to claim victory.

with this win, Guyana Amazon Warriors moved to the top of the GSL 2025 points table with 6 points and a better net run rate of +1.806.
Rangpur Riders are also level on points but have one more game in hand and are still unbeaten. Hobart Hurricanes, with just 2 points from 4 matches, slipped into the third position and have a difficult route to qualification.
