In Match 5 of the season for the 2025 Global Super League, Rangpur Riders edged out Hobart Hurricanes in a close 1-run win at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. With this win, Rangpur Riders are still undefeated in the competition and move to the top of the GSL 2025 points table with 4 points and a net run rate of +0.225. Hobart Hurricanes, with their first defeat, sit in the third position with 2 points.
