ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, 2nd Semi-Final

India will play against England in the second semi-final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup on March 5 at Wankhede Stadium. The match will take place in Mumbai. Both teams will fight for a place in the final, so this will be a very important knockout game. Fans can expect an exciting contest at one of India’s most famous cricket grounds.

India had a strong start, winning all four of their group matches. In the Super Eight stage, they were first lost to South Africa but afterwards they bounced back with two important wins. Under captain Suryakumar Yadav, the defending champions will hope to beat England and reach the final again.

England have played very well in the tournament so far. They finished second in Group C, winning three of their four matches. They defeated Nepal, Scotland, and Italy and lost only to West Indies. In the Super Eight stage, the team led by Harry Brook performed brilliantly. They won all three of their matches and finished at the top of their group. England will feel confident going into this big match.

IND vs ENG: Pitch Report

The pitch at Wankhede Stadium is good for batting. The surface is flat and the boundaries are short, so batters can score runs easily. The ball comes nicely onto the bat, helping players play big shots. Fast bowlers might get some swing in the first few overs, but later the pitch becomes better for batting. If England bat first, they can score a big total.
