ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8, Match 51

Match 51 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be played between Zimbabwe and South Africa at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, on March 1st. South Africa have already booked their semi-final spot, but Zimbabwe’s game on Sunday is the last of the tournament for them and they will be eager to bow out on a high.

Zimbabwe are entering this fixture after a heavy loss against India, which shattered their dreams of advancing to the knockouts. Despite the loss, Brian Bennett impressed once again with a superb 97 off 59 balls, playing aggressive cricket throughout his innings. Captain Sikandar Raza also contributed with a quick 31 runs. However, the bowling unit struggled to defend the total and could not stop the opposition batters. With no pressure of qualification, Zimbabwe will aim to play freely and finish strongly.

South Africa have been one of the strongest teams in this edition of the tournament. They defeated West Indies convincingly in their previous match, chasing 176 in just 16.1 overs with nine wickets in hand. Aiden Markram, Quinton de Kock and Ryan Rickelton led the charge with attacking batting, while Lungi Ngidi and Kagiso Rabada controlled the bowling department. The Proteas will want to maintain their unbeaten run and carry winning momentum into the semi-finals.

ZIM vs SA: Pitch Report

The pitch at Arun Jaitley Stadium is good for batting. It is usually flat, which helps players play their shots freely. The ground has small boundaries, making it easier for batters to hit sixes. Spinners can also get some help during the middle overs. The average first-innings score here is around 167, so fans can expect a high-scoring and exciting match.
