Prior to the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022 between India and England at the Adelaide Oval on November 10 (Thursday), star Indian batter Virat Kohli was in some kind of pain. Kohli was hit in the groin by a Harshal Patel punch, and he fell to his knees for a while before getting back up and doing low jumps to warm up. It was reported by journalists at the nets that Kohli was hit hard but looked fine after a few minutes. Before the big semifinal match, it appears that Kohli has recovered from the injury scare and there is nothing much to worry about.

Additionally, Indian captain Rohit Sharma was injured in the nets on Tuesday, a day prior. One of Rohit’s net throwdowns struck him in the forearm, causing him to appear to be in a lot of pain. After the physio rushed to Rohit to check him, he left the nets. The Indian team management were relieved when he returned to the field and resumed batting after a brief absence. While batting, Rohit played some powerful strokes without showing any signs of trouble.

On Wednesday, Virat was struck in the groin. He also appears to be fine, so let’s hope he doesn’t pose a threat to their safety.

India will play England in the second semi final on Thursday, which begins at 1.30 p.m. India time, they want to put an end to their drought of ICC medals. They will advance to the final, which will be held on November 13 at the storied MCG, where they will face either Pakistan or New Zealand.
