Exceptional bowling performance by Kuldeep Yadav in the Asia Cup 2025 final between India and Pakistan on September 28 at Dubai International Stadium. At a point of the match, when Pakistan was looking under control with their openers Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman at the crease, Yadav was expensive. He needed only one over to bounce back and pulled down Pakistan's strike rate. From 84/1 to 146/10, a single over from the spin wizard changed the whole complexion of the match. In the 17th over, the spinner took 3 wickets. Pakistan captains Salman Ali Agha, Shaheen Afridi, and Faheem Ashraf fell short against Kuldeep in that over. 

How did Kuldeep Yadav take those 3 wickets in a single over?

Salman Ali Agha: The extra flight from Yadav lured the batter to go big. He went out of his crease to hit a big shot but could only produce a top edge. The ball was flying towards the short mid-wicket region. Keeper Sanju Samson called for it and grabbed the ball safely into his gloves. Sanju dives in front at the end to take the catch.

Shaheen Afridi: The googly was on a nagging length, landing around the off stump and spinning back in towards the left-hander. Afridi was unable to judge the ball correctly, and the ball hit the pad. The on-field umpire denied India's shout for an LBW, but it was turned down. India skipper Suryakumar took a review, and his decision was on point. Yadav got Afridi for an LBW.

Faheem Ashraf: Again, a lofty delivery from Kuldeep Yadav. Ashraf tried to hit the ball hard but was not able to place the bat under the ball. The elevation was not enough to clear the boundary rope. Tilak Varma at long-off took a swift catch.
