After a setback against South Africa, the India Women's team is locking horns against Australia (IND-W vs AUS-W), another strong team in the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup 2025. India Women started their campaign with wins over Sri Lanka and Pakistan, but in a scrapy manner.

The top order of the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team is yet to be clicked properly. Against the strong bowling line-up of Australia, the top order of India, along with the opening pair, will be tested heavily. Kim Garth and Megan Schutt will have a big role to play against the misfiring Indian top order. Despite India's defeat against South Africa, there are positive notes for them.

One is obviously the young keeper-batter Richa Ghosh, who produced a rescue act under pressure against South Africa. So far, with the ball, Deepti Sharma proved most effective among the Indian bowlers, taking 7 wickets. She has to play a big role against Alyssa Healy's Australia. In-form Beth Mooney will again try to wreak havoc against the opposition's bowling line-up.

Toss Update:

Australia Women's team captain Alyssa Healy won the toss and called for a bowl first. She chose to bowl first, as they saw some dew while they were conducting an evening practice session.

India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur mentioned the pitch of Visakhapatnam is looking better than their previous match. And hopeful about scoring a more competitive total in the first innings. She informed them that their squad remains unchanged.
