The India Women's team is all set to play their first of the three-match ODI series against Australia from tomorrow (September 14). On August 19, 2025, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squad for the bilateral series. This ODI series is going to be a rehearsal for the upcoming Women's ODI World Cup, where India will be a host nation. The squad BCCI announced is full of stars and talents; among them, some are capable of shifting the momentum of a match single-handedly. 

3 team India players who can make massive impacts against the Australia Women's team:

1. Smriti Mandhana: Smriti developed herself as one of the most consistent openers in world cricket. If she is able to find rhythm, then India can dream about a big total on the scoreboard. Team Australia has multiple wicket-taking bowlers like Megan Schutt, who can swing the ball in both ways. Against them, on a fresh track now, Mandhana uses her techniques, which will be an interesting thing to watch in the series. 

2. Deepti Sharma: To maintain balance in the squad, Deepti plays a crucial role—on the field as well as on paper. Her spin bowling abilities can be helpful under subcontinent conditions. With the help of Sharma's off spin, captain Harmanpreet Kaur will definitely look to snatch some wickets in the middle overs of the innings. During the New Zealand series, she bowled some good economical spells to lower the opposition's run-scoring rate.
