Proving many predictions wrong, Team India is all set to play in the semi-finals of the ongoing 2026 T20 World Cup against England on March 5 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir is among the critics who strongly believe India will not be able to enter the Final. Ahead of India's clash with the West Indies, Amir predicted that it would be the West Indies to disqualify the winners of the 2024 T20 World Cup from the title race.

However, Sanju Samson's masterclass proved Amir's prediction wrong as India stormed into the semi-finals. Despite going wrong, the former seamer, in his fresh remarks, claims that he predicted nothing wrong, but it was Samson alone who drove the Men in Blue into the next level of the tournament.

"My semifinal analysis was correct, but Sanju Samson played really good cricket", Mohammad Amir said.

Mohammad Amir predicts that India will not play the Final of the T20 World Cup 2026

To look at his comment accurately, the 33-year-old shed light on the team's performance. According to the former cricketer, who is currently a cricket expert, Team India is yet to produce a complete team game. Apart from Jasprit Bumrah, no one has been performing consistently, Mohammad Amir felt. He criticizes the team's batting performance as well in his latest prediction.

"Still, I feel India is not playing complete cricket yet. Apart from Jasprit Bumrah, not a single bowler is in form. Just look at their batting; in almost every match, they keep suffering collapses. The semifinal against England will be a good contest, but I think India will not play the final", Mohammad Amir issued an early projection.
