India’s veteran left-handed opening batter of the women’s side, Smriti Mandhana, has cemented her place at the number one spot in the latest ICC ODI rankings thanks to 109 against New Zealand and an unbeaten 34 runs against Bangladesh, as he moved to a career-best rating of 828. She now has a lead of nearly 100 points from second-ranked Ashleigh Gardner.

It continues to be a dream run for the Indian southpaw, who was named the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for September 2025 for her incredible batting against Australia. The Protea leader, Laura Wolvaardt, has moved up to the top three with a jump of two spots thanks to her innings of 90 and 31.

Their opening batter, Pratika Rawal, who will miss the remainder of the event with injury, has moved into the top 30 with a rating of 564.
