Tilak Varma played a responsible innings, scoring 27 runs in a run a ball, whilst Ryan Rickelton gave the innings early momentum with his brisk 25 runs off 18 balls. MI vs DC: Post Match Reactions

Suryakumar Yadav (Player of the Match): After a match-winning innings of 73*, Suryakumar Yadav finally won the Player of the Match award. "My wife reminded me that I hadn't won it yet this season, so it makes it special. I think it was important for me to bat till the end, but Naman Singh's left-handed hitting really helped. We will have some cake at the hotel to celebrate," he said.

Mitchell Santner (Mumbai Indians): Santner, with his 3/11, said, "It was a red-soil wicket and a bit on the slower side. It helped, bowling stump to stump with a good overspin. I thought 180 was above par. SKY and Naman set it up well. Bumrah's finishing was brilliant."

Faf du Plessis (Delhi Capitals Captain): Faf said, "Fielding was good, but we lost the game in the last two overs. Rizvi showed potential as a top player, but we lost momentum in the end. Bad time to be without Axar and Starc. This loss is a wrap-up to our inconsistent season."

Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians Captain): "I think having Santner and Bumrah makes my job easier; they bring control and perfection. We thought 160 would be good on that tricky pitch, but Surya and especially Naman at the end made 180 possible. Good all-around effort on a very tricky surface."
