"Don't know, man, what is going on. Legends are retiring..." These are the words from Speed, and perhaps the same words many other cricket enthusiasts are currently uttering in their minds. Virat Kohli was India's most successful Test captains

With his exceptional batting skills and an unyielding will-to-win attitude, Virat Kohli led Team India to several historic milestones in Test cricket. As captain, he recorded 40 wins in 68 matches — the most by any Indian Test skipper — surpassing legends like MS Dhoni (27 wins in 60 Tests) and Sourav Ganguly (21 wins in 49 Tests). Kohli’s leadership transformed India into a dominant force, known for aggressive play, strategic discipline, and fearless performances both at home and abroad.

Under Kohli's captaincy, India reached the No. 1 spot in the ICC Test rankings and held it for 42 consecutive months from October 2016 to March 2020. His tenure saw iconic series wins, including back-to-back Test series victories in Australia (2018–19 and 2020–21), a feat no other Asian captain had achieved before. Kohli’s era reshaped India's overseas reputation, proving that the team could not only compete but consistently win in challenging conditions across the globe.
