South Africa's star all-rounder Marco Jansen revealed the help he received from Arshdeep Singh in the previous season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Both players were in the Punjab Kings (PBKS), and since Jansen was struggling to take wickets, he had a conversation with Arshdeep, who helped him perform in the tournament. 

Speaking to SuperSport, Jansen credited the Indian bowler for helping him during the tournament. He went on to take 16 wickets in the campaign and helped them make a way into the finals. Meanwhile, he played a key role along with Arshdeep in the powerplays as well. 

"Arshdeep Singh was the first Indian player to reach out and answer my questions in details during the last IPL. He really wanted me to do well, he helped me a lot in giving me information," Jansen said while speaking to SuperSport.

Marco Jansen scored unbeaten half-century against New Zealand

In the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026, Marco Jansen scored an unbeaten half-century against New Zealand in the semi-finals. He scored a 30-ball 55-run knock to help the Proteas get to 169 runs in the first innings. However, they lost the match as Finn Allen slammed an unbeaten century and snatched the game away from them. 

It was an incredible batting performance by the Kiwi opener, whose catch was dropped in the initial overs. After getting the lifeline, he played an outstanding knock and helped his team get to the finals. With this win, New Zealand have reached the finals and will wait to meet their opponent. India will play against England in the second semi-final tomorrow in Mumbai.
