Manchester Originals edge past Northern Superchargers by 57 runs

Manchester Originals put on a brilliant show at Old Trafford as they crushed Northern Superchargers by 57 runs in the 17th match of The Hundred 2025. Batting first, the Originals lost skipper Phil Salt early, but Jos Buttler held the innings together with a fine unbeaten 64 from 45 balls. Rachin Ravindra gave quick runs with a fiery 31 off 14 balls, while Heinrich Klaasen smashed 50 not out from just 25 balls. Their efforts carried the Originals to a strong total of 171/3.

In reply, the Superchargers never looked comfortable. Michael Pepper fell for a duck, and wickets kept falling one after another. Only David Miller fought back with 38 runs from 22 balls, but it wasn’t enough. For the Originals, Sonny Baker and Josh Tongue picked up three wickets each, while Ravindra and Noor Ahmad took two apiece. The Superchargers were bowled out for 114, giving the Originals a huge 57-run victory and delighting the home crowd.
