What does the latest decision mean for Royal Challengers Bengaluru home games?

While the IPL 2026 is less than two weeks away from beginning, the home ground for the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, has learnt the fate for the upcoming IPL season.

M. Chinnaswamy Stadium experienced the deadly chaos during RCB's maiden IPL trophy celebration on June 4, 2025. That incident resulted in 11 deaths and 50+ more injuries.

After that stampede situation, M. Chinnaswamy Stadium underwent serious renovation, as the stadium missed the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025, ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, and Ranji Trophy 2025-26 Final.

However, just before the IPL 2026, the RCB fans have got great news, as the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is officially set to host five of RCB's home matches in the season.
