The India vs New Zealand match is set to roar in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 Final, which the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host on Sunday night (March 8). The winner of the match will lift the trophy, as India have the chance to create history, while New Zealand are eyeing their first ICC World Cup title.

ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 Final: India vs New Zealand set to create many histories

It is going to be the first-ever T20 World Cup Final between India and New Zealand. Two-time champions India won the title in the inaugural or the 2007 edition and the previous or the 2024 edition. They also reached the 2014 Final, where India lost against Sri Lanka in Bangladesh. 

Meanwhile, New Zealand are ready for their second T20 World Cup Final, while finishing as runners-up in the 2021 edition after losing the Final against Australia. If the Blackcaps win the ongoing edition, they will be the seventh team to win this title. 

In the meantime, if India win the 2026 edition, they will create multiple histories, as the Men in Blue will become the first hosts and first defending champions to win the title, along with the first team to win the title more than twice.
