Nepal Vs Oman Match Postponed

Just after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2026, the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series, which includes Nepal, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has been rescheduled due to travel issues caused by the current conflicting situations in the Middle Eastern region. The series was supposed to take place on March 10 at the TU International Cricket Stadium in Kathmandu.

The tri-series that featured these three teams was set to get underway from that day at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Groundas the organizers had stalled the matches, citing the recent security situation. The CWC League 2 is part of the 2027 ODI WC, which is held in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

The affected fixtures include the matches involving Oman, UAE, and Nepal. The rescheduled dates will be announced in the coming days following further consultations.” The statement has been revealed.

The statement has been issued by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on the X account, which was formerly known as Twitter, as it added that the fresh dates would be finalized after further discussions with the ICC and the participating boards. The next round of the League 2 will be underway in April in Windhoek, where it will have Scotland, Oman, and Namibia.

The teams from the UAE and Oman planned to travel to Nepal in early March, but the closure of the specific dates with restricted flight services created challenges for players and support staff to complete their journey. The organization decided to postpone the fixtures because of the travel conditions.

The current League 2 standings find the Rohit Paudel-led side in seventh place among the eight teams, having collected 12 points through the 20 completed games. The UAE sits at the bottom of the standings with 10 points, whereas Oman holds fourth place with 24 points and still has an opportunity to get better in the standings.
