I never involved in spot-fixing: Mohammad Kaif replied to Mohammad Amir

While the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 has moved towards the Final, as the India vs New Zealand match will be played on Sunday night (March 8) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, former Indian cricketer and former Pakistan cricketer, Mohammad Kaif and Mohammad Amir have been involved in an ugly spat. After Amir personally attacked India's first U19 World Cup-winning captain, Mohammad Kaif has come up with a brutal reply.

As usual, Mohammad Amir has come up with many baseless comments during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, including a false prediction of India's failure in the tournament by missing out on semi-final qualification. Amir generally comes with anti-India comments, while former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif claimed that the former Pakistan left-arm fast bowler came with baseless anti-India comments to get attention.

I don't remember about his cricketing career: Mohammad Amir on Mohammad Kaif

Later, Amir commented on Mohammad Kaif's cricket career, pointing out how unsuccessful his cricketing career was, including his very average IPL career.

Amir quoted, "I don't remember about his cricketing career; he played 29 IPL games, and he has a strike rate of 103. He played his full career just because of his good fielding and due to Captain Sourav Ganguly."

I never involved in spot-fixing: Mohammad Kaif replied to Mohammad Amir

In reply, Kaif brutally attacked the former Pakistan left-arm fast bowler by pointing out his match-fixing incident. Kaif added that he at least never sold his country, as his career was short but clean and clear.

Kaif said, "I never sold my country for some money. I never fixed any match. I never involved in spot-fixing. Yes, my career was bit short, but it was clean and clear without any fixing."

In 2010, Amir and two more Pakistani teammates (Mohammad Asif and captain Salman Butt) were alleged for spot fixing in a Test match against England at Lord's in London in August 2010. Later, Amir received a five-year ban from cricket. After completing his suspension period, Amir returned to the game and represented his national team strongly.
