New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced a blockbuster home schedule for the 2025–26 season, featuring visits from Australia, England, the West Indies, and South Africa across formats. The Blackcaps will kick off their summer with a three-match T20I series against Trans-Tasman rivals Australia beginning October 1, followed by a white-ball series against England comprising three T20Is and three ODIs starting October 18 and 26, respectively. The West Indies will arrive on tour for five T20Is, three ODIs, and three Tests starting November 5, with the first Test beginning on December 6.

The White Ferns will start their home campaign early next year after their participation in the ODI World Cup 2025, in India and Sri Lanka. Their season opens with a historic T20I series against Zimbabwe—the first-ever between the two sides—starting February 25, followed by a three-match ODI series beginning March 5, part of the ICC Women's Championship 2025–29.
The women’s team will then face South Africa in a five-match T20I series scheduled as double-headers alongside the men’s T20Is from March 15 to 25. Additionally, they’ll play three standalone T20Is against the South African women from March 29 to April 4.

NZC Chief Executive Scott Weenink expressed delight over the packed and diverse schedule, especially highlighting the historic series against Zimbabwe and the double-header format with South Africa. "It’s great to welcome such a diverse range of opponents for both the Blackcaps and White Ferns, and especially pleasing for NZC to host the first-ever series between Zimbabwe and New Zealand women.
Fans will see top-tier cricket across all our major centers, with the doubleheaders against South Africa offering a chance to watch the very best female and male cricketers in the world on display in a unique day-out experience," he said. He also added, “We’re thrilled to build this exciting home summer around the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and on the back of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, giving our players a chance to shine on the global stage as well as at home.”

Pacer Kyle Jamieson called it a “marquee summer,” stressing the challenge and excitement that comes with hosting such high-caliber opposition.
“The caliber of opposition means we’ll be constantly tested for the duration of the season, and that’s what you want as a cricketer. It’s great to have another three-Test series at home, and I’m sure the fans will get in behind the Test team as they have in seasons gone by. It’s always special to play in front of a home crowd, and we’re hoping Kiwis will get out in force to support us once again this summer,” Jamieson said.
