Pak Reactions

India's March 9th, 2025, conquest of New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy final resulted in a fresh wave of reactions from almost all sectors of Pakistani media, and social sites simultaneously; it was New Zealand’s loss. Because of the shared poignant cricket history of India and Pakistan, sentiments were deeply entrenched as reactions leaned to exaggeration, as in restfulness, chuckling, and, of course, blame shifting.

Frustration poured in as many Pakistani fans seemed to find it scorned while showing the disappointment of losing the defending champion’s trophy. A segment of the society was able to defend laughable, cartoonish prayers depicting a confession to support New Zealand.

Other sections shifted views towards controversies of umpiring and accused Indian favoritism throughout the game. The Pakistani media clearly covered the match, with detailed commentary ranging from Indian performances to Indian impacts on Pakistani perspectives on cricket. Some flashy reports ranged from showing moments of highlights of them to others that rolled their eyes into subdued boredom that comes at the drudgery of Pakistan's pace-less heroics final.

Throughout all social platforms, the absolute mixed reactions poured in, the disappointment, dedicating admiration and some jokes, evident in the conferred India uhmm end showing the moment of grabbing the chance, teamed with competitive actioning and mastery, opposed the nurturing unhindered display by deep competition extending even to rivalry.
