Wedding celebrations for Arjun Tendulkar have begun in style. Cricket great Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali hosted a grand pre-wedding event in Mumbai on 3 March.

Arjun is set to marry Saaniya Chandhok on 5 March. The family organised the mehendi and sangeet ceremonies on 3 March as part of the festivities.

The evening saw the presence of several well-known faces from the cricket world. Former India stars Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, and Yuvraj Singh attended with their spouses. Former India coach Ravi Shastri and political leader Raj Thackeray were also present at the celebration.

Star-Studded Celebration Ahead of the Wedding

When Ravi Shastri arrived at the event, he wore a blue blazer with matching blue formal pants. He looked stylish and confident.

The bride-to-be looked beautiful in a gota-patti lehenga with soft pink shades. She wore heavy jewellery and traditional kaleeras. Arjun chose a beige bandhgala set that suited the happy occasion. Sachin Tendulkar wore a bright green kurta-pyjama with a patterned jacket. Anjali wore a deep blue outfit with detailed jewellery. Their daughter, Sara Tendulkar, looked graceful in a pink lehenga and added charm to the family’s celebration.

Earlier, Nita Ambani and Mukesh Ambani hosted a grand pre-wedding function at their home in Jamnagar. Nita shared kind words about seeing Arjun grow up and warmly welcomed Saaniya into the family circle.

The wedding will take place on 5 March. The celebrations continue to attract public attention, bringing together cricket, fashion, and tradition before the big day.

Ravi Shastri's career so far

Ravi Shastri had a strong international career for India in both Tests and ODIs. In Test cricket, he played 80 matches and scored 3,830 runs at an average of 35.79. He hit 11 centuries and 12 half-centuries, with a highest score of 206. As a bowler, he took 151 Test wickets, with best figures of 5/75 in an innings.

In ODIs, Shastri played 150 matches and scored 3,108 runs at an average of 29.04, including four centuries. With the ball, he picked up 129 wickets in the 50-over format, with best bowling figures of 5/15. He also contributed in the field with 36 catches in Tests and 40 in ODIs, proving his value as a true all-rounder.
