A hint of fresh essence has come after a few emotional days. The retirement of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli from Test cricket left all of their fans across the world in grief. Now, another senior Indian cricketer popped up in the headlines; he is none other than Ravindra Jadeja.

After the departure of Sharma and Kohli from cricket's longest format, Jadeja is currently among the few experienced cricketers India currently has in the mix. The star India all-rounder has just created an all-time Test record and solidifies his legacy he has built throughout the past years. With the new achievement, the star cricketer has surpassed multiple cricket legends like Kapil Dev and Jacques Kallis.

According to the latest ICC Test rankings for the all-rounders, the 36-year-old player is still holding the number 1 spot with 400 points. For a long time, no other all-rounder in the world has been able to snatch this spot from him, and now he has become the first player in the world to remain at the number one spot in the Test all-rounder rankings for a long time.

Jadeja made his Test debut in 2012 against England; since then, he has been a pivotal part of team India. From 2012 to 2025, Jadeja played 80 matches and scored 3370 runs with an unbeaten 175-run innings. During this period, with the ball in hand, the spinner took 323 wickets, claiming a 5-wicket figure 15 times.
