While many star Indian cricketers shone on the opening day of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, Indian T20I cricketer Rinku Singh, who plays the finisher role in the T20I format for India, slammed a fiery century on the second day of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26.

It is the Elite Group B match between Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh in Rajkot, where Chandigarh chose to field first after winning the toss. With the help of two centuries, Uttar Pradesh scored 367/4 in 50 overs.

Opener Aryan Juyal scored 134 off 118 balls with seven fours and eight sixes, while Indian Test wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel scored 67 off 57 balls with 11 fours. Later, captain Rinku Singh played a powerful knock to set the total well over 350 runs.

Rinku Singh is in strong form

While Rinku has been selected for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, he is in good form with the bat. On the opening day of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, Rinku scored 67 off 48 balls against Hyderabad, which played a game-changing role for his team, as they won by 84 runs.

In the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025-26, Rinku played some brilliant knocks of 65 off 42 balls, 24 off 10 balls, 45 off 29 balls, etc.

Rinku Singh, who has played two ODIs and 35 T20Is, has a 50+ batting average in List A career after his latest century. The middle-order batter has a T20I batting average of 42.30 with a strike rate of 161.76, which makes him a very underrated player at the moment.
