SA20 2025-26 Match 4: DSG vs MICT

The Durban Super Giants (DSG) are set to clash with MI Cape Town (MICT) in Match No. 4 of the SA20 2025-26 on Sunday, the 28th of December, at the Kingsmead Cricket Ground in Durban. This will be the second encounter between these two teams this season, having clashed in their first encounter in their opening match.

The first match of the season for both teams was a high-scoring thriller. Durban Super Giants chose to bat first and scored a massive 232/5, thanks to some brilliance from Devon Conway. Kane Williamson provided good support to him at the start, while some quick runs were added by Aiden Markram and Evan Jones in the middle overs.

MI Cape Town fought hard in the chase. Ryan Rickelton played a stunning century and almost pulled off a memorable win for the defending champions. Jason Smith also chipped in with quick runs, but regular wickets in the final overs slowed them down. Durban kept their calm at the death and secured a 15-run victory.

Both teams are now looking to move up the points table, while MI Cape Town seeks revenge and the Super Giants hope for a repeat of winning.

DSG vs MICT: Pitch Report

The pitch at Kingsmead is generally challenging for batters. The new ball is the best time to score runs, while spinners get good help in the middle overs. Teams batting first usually enjoy an advantage here. The average first-innings score is around 143, so putting runs on the board early will be important.
