India vs Pakistan

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 has reached a stage where all the matches are crucial. The winning teams will keep climbing steps towards the Super 8, while the losing teams will be eliminated from the tournament. But, on February 15, a high-voltage game is scheduled at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, where India will play against Pakistan.

While the fans are anticipating a thriller match between the arch-rivals, the rain gods have some other plans in Colombo. This match is quite important for both teams as the winner will qualify for the Super 8 stage. Hence, both India and Pakistan would want to win the game and advance to the knockout stage.

India are facing a major crisis, as Abhishek Sharma's inclusion remains unconfirmed. But, skipper Suryakumar Yadav did give a slight hint regarding the player's inclusion during the press conference. "If Salman wants us to play Abhishek tomorrow, we shall play him," SKY said at the pre-match press conference. The left-handed opener missed the previous match against Namibia due to a stomach bug. He was also hospitalised for a few days after the first match.

Weather Report

As per Accuweather, there is a possibility of rain in the upcoming India vs Pakistan match in Colombo. The weather remains overcast according to the local media on Sunday. Meanwhile, the weather report also suggests that there might be rainfall around 5 PM in the evening, which is just two hours before the match. Even though it's a T20I match, the weather will play a huge role in the pitch conditions and the overall match. The players would hope for no interruption since the match is quite crucial.

Pitch Report

The pitch at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, is likely to remain balanced for batters and bowlers throughout the match. The pitch at Colombo favors the spinners more than the pacers and will remain the same in the upcoming game. As the game proceeds, the black-soil wicket provides consistent bounce early, but it will eventually become slow. The captain who wins the toss should look to bowl first. If the match is interrupted by rain, the DLS method will be quite helpful for the chasing team.
