Southern Brave vs Birmingham Phoenix full match highlights and scorecard.

Both sides, Southern Brave and Birmingham Phoenix, came into the seventh clash of The Hundred 2025 at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. The Braves missed one of their key pacers, Jofra Archer, in the last fixture as he returned to the playing XI straightaway for this clash.

On the other hand, Birmingham, despite their unsettling batting in the opening clash, decided to back the same eleven and the balance of the side. Winning the toss, Brave's captain, James Vince, decided to bowl first on a surface, which they expected to get better later in the evening.

Birmingham Phoenix limp their way to 106/7 in first innings

The opening partnership between Ben Duckett and Will Smeed for Birmingham didn’t work out. The former kept struggling against the new ball bowling of Archer, who kept firing the short balls at the southpaw, who ended with 20 runs in 21 deliveries at a strike rate of 95.24, with the help of four boundaries. Joe Clarke earned 36 runs in 27 balls, but none of them got the elevation of the bat properly.

Michael Bracewell returned with figures of 3/10 in 15 balls at an economy rate of 0.67 while Chris Jordan and James Coles shared two wickets between them. Archer returned with figures of 2/16 in 20 balls, including 14 dots.

Southern Brave complete successful chase of 109/1

Both openers for the Southern side showed their incredible power at the top. Leus du Plooy remained unbeaten on 48 runs in just 29 deliveries at a strike rate of 123.08, thanks to five boundaries and one six, while on the other hand, captain James Vince smashed 41 runs in 30 balls at a strike rate of 136.67, smashing four boundaries.

Jason Roy, slotted at number three, ended with an undefeated 18 runs in 12 balls as they completed the chase of 109 runs by nine wickets with 19 balls to spare.
