Oval Invincibles vs Birmingham Phoenix full match highlights and scorecard.

In the tenth encounter of The Hundred 2025, Oval Invincibles and Birmingham Phoenix met each other for the former’s home clash at the Kennington Oval. The Sam Billings-led side won their first two encounters of the season against London Spirit and the Manchester Originals.

On the other hand, Birmingham lost both their previous fixture against the Trent Rockets and Southern Braves. On both occasions, they defended their first-innings score. For a change, they won the toss and decided to bowl first on a surface that was expected to improve in the second innings under lights.

Oval Invincibles fire their way to 180/8

Both the openers of the home side, Will Jacks and T Muyeye, couldn’t do much with the bat. But Jordan Cox smashed a fine knock of 44 runs in 30 balls at a strike rate of 146.67 with the help of three boundaries and two sixes. But the biggest change and firepower came from Donovan Ferreia, who drilled 63 runs in 29 balls with the help of four fours and six sixes.

Liam Livingstone shoulders Brimigham Phoenix's chase by four wickets

During the chase of the clash in the second innings, Birmingham was on track with the chase. Ben Duckett, however, continued his struggle with the bat at the opening position with seven runs off at a run a ball. Joe Clarke, the wicket-keeper batsman, smacked 27 runs in 14 balls. Will Smeed showed his power for a fine 51 runs in 29 balls with the help of five boundaries and four sixes.

But it was Liam Livingtone's terrific performance of unbeaten 69 runs in just 27 balls with the help of seven boundaries and five sixes at a strike rate of 255 that nearly took them home. Saqib Mahmood took two wickets in the first two balls of the last set to make it interesting before the first-boundary from Howell earned their first win of the season.
