In reply, Oval Invincibles finished at 137/1 thanks to contributions from Lauren Winfield-Hill (33) and Meg Lanning (56). Strong death bowling from Sophie Ecclestone and Mahika Gaur was instrumental in preventing Oval Invincibles from being able to chase down the majority of runs needed in the final overs. This was a fun game of cricket to witness, and we all felt worked up about the outcome as it was very close. Marizanne Kapp's 2/22 was impressive of note for the hosts, but Player of the Match was awarded to Beth Mooney.
