After winning the toss and choosing to bat on the Headingley track, Birmingham struggled to get themselves going, getting only to a total score of 116/6 in their 100 balls. Linsey Smith and Lucy Higham bowled brilliantly for the Superchargers, with Higham and Smith both taking 2 wickets, which never allowed Phoenix to gain any momentum in their innings. Phoebe Litchfield made a quick 59 to make for an easy run chase in only 74 balls.

No one in the Birmingham Phoenix Women batting line-up came close to putting a score on the board worthy of defending, although there were some contributions from Ellyse Perry (10 off 6) and Sterre Kalis (24 off 30). With 26 balls to spare and the needed 117 runs to win, the Northern Superchargers sealed the win. Phoebe Litchfield scored a brilliant 59* off 28 balls, supported by the strong innings of Annabel Sutherland with an unbeaten 20 off 13 balls. Davina Perrin (14 off 14 balls) and Alice Davidson-Richards (17 off 20) set up the chase, which meant Phoenix's bowlers were only left to watch Litchfield's onslaught.
