It has been almost a couple of decades since Virat Kohli has been with Royal Challengers Bengaluru. From the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League until now, the star Indian batter has never played for any other IPL franchise other than RCB. The Bengaluru base franchise will telecast their next 'Bold Diaries' episode with Virat Kohli as the central character.

A trailer was published on social media by the club. Mayanti Langer, as the host of the episode, asks Kohli why he never played for any other IPL team. Kohli's reply is all about relationship and mutual respect, which is, for him, far more valuable than any silverware or trophy. 'King' Kohli has acknowledged the RCB followers who have been relentlessly with him from the beginning of his IPL journey.

"What is more valuable for me today? Do I want to go to a new setup and try to figure out life again? I don't know how the system is going or how people are going to treat me. So you know what? For me, what's more valuable is a relationship and mutual respect that have been created over so many years. The love that I have received from fans, I don't think any silverware or any trophy can come close," Virat said in the conversation.

A sleepless night for Virat

He remembered the very first match with Team India, against Sri Lanka, and after a three-day game, the boys in blue face their archrivals, Pakistan. A young Virat Kohli was a part of the match. He tried to get a maximum against a peak Shahid Afridi but did not succeed. India lost the game, and Kohli spent a sleepless night.

Recalling those early days, Virat said, "I played my first series in Sri Lanka when I went over, and the very next game was against Pakistan three days later, and it was my first India vs Pakistan game. I tried to hit Shahid Afridi for a six straight down in Centurion and got caught at long on, and I remember us losing that game, and I just couldn't sleep. I was awake till 5pm."
