Cameraman teases fans with wrong openers for India as hilarious video goes viral.

India, during a dead-rubber, locked horns with Sri Lanka during the last Super 4 clash of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. They have already qualified for the final of the tournament and will face Pakistan at the same ground two days later, which pushed the Blue Brigade to rest a few of their players.

But a funny moment took place at the start of the innings when the cameraman showed Tilak Varma and Shubman Gill opening the batting for the Suryakumar Yadav-led side. The wrong angle of the camera showed Tilak stretching inside the boundary rope with Gill. Many thought that it was an experiment from the management.

But suddenly, the cameraman changed the angle to show Abhishek Sharma being prepared and punched the glove to Gill to rush inside the ground. The video has grabbed several eyeballs on social media platforms, as even the commentators were shocked by the act of the cameraman.

Batting first, India posted 202/5 in their allotted 20 overs of the first innings. Abhishek continued his rich form with his third successive half-century to nail 61 runs in 31 balls at a strike rate of 196.77, with the help of eight boundaries and two sixes, while Tilak remained unbeaten on 49 runs in 34 balls at a strike rate of over 144. Axar also clubbed an undefeated 21 runs in 15 balls at 140.

In reply, Sri Lanka was in the chase comfortably. Kushal Perera drilled 58 runs in 32 balls at a strike rate of 181.25 with eight boundaries and one six, while their opening batter, Pathum Nissanka, celebrated 107 runs in 58 balls at a strike rate of 184.8 with seven boundaries and six sixes. However, they ended on the same score of 202.

The game moved into the super over, where Sri Lanka lost Perera on the first ball before Dasun Shanaka’s dismissal as they ended with just two runs. It took Suryakumar Yadav only one delivery to complete the three-run chase to remain unbeaten in the campaign.
