Amidst the ongoing Test series between India and England, a very heartwarming video of a young visually impaired fan has emerged that has melted the internet. The fan goes by the name of Ravi. He was given an invitation by the BBC TMS commentary panel to have a discussion on cricket. The young boy offered a delightful glimpse into his perspective on the game and shared his thoughts on English cricket as a whole.

To begin with, Ravi was asked to name his favorite English cricketer. After a momentary deliberation, his answer was England's white-ball captain Ben Stokes. To further back his choice, Ravi explained that he greatly admires his fighting spirit and how he strives hard to go the extra mile. Moreover, he also lauded his batting and bowling abilities and added that he looks good when he gets into his zone.

Furthermore, he went a step further during the conversation and recollected his brilliance during the 2019 ODI World Cup, which won England their first fifty-over World Cup title. Although he was seven at the time and was not physically watching the game, Ravi eventually came to know about Stokes' match-winning performance from his autobiography.

England's ODI World Cup triumph in 2019 was a moment of redemption for Ben Stokes. As the boy later explained in the video, Stokes was able to bury the ghosts of the 2016 T20 World Cup, where West Indies' Carlos Brathwaite took him to the cleaners and smashed four consecutive sixes to snatch an unbelievable win from England in the final.

In the ongoing Test series, Stokes and his men face a fierce test against India at home. England have not won a test series against India since 2021 and performed poorly in their preceding Test series in India, where they lost the series 4-1. So far, Stokes has kept the English side in the game by making a key contribution with the ball returning figures of 4-66 to restrict India to 471.
