Another such incident took place on the streets of Ranchi when the veteran took out his vintage Rolls-Royce for a spin as the young fans tried to chase him on the road. There is speculation on whether Dhoni would be available to feature for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). South Africa’s Dewald Brevis, coming as a replacement, appreciated Dhoni’s humility.

The 44-year-old has smashed a total of 5439 runs in 242 innings of the IPL at a strike rate of over 135 with 24 half-centuries. The last time he crossed the 250-run mark in the IPL campaign was in 2019 when he smacked 416 runs during the 2019 season.
