Royal Challenger Bengaluru won the Indian Premier league in 2025 after 18 years of hiatus. They won the IPL 2025 by beating Punjab Kings in the final by six runs. This was there maiden IPL trophy and the franchise had to wait 18 years to lay their hands on the coveted trophy. Virat Kohli, who has been associated with the franchise since its inception, was evidently emotional. When the team won the trophy he broke down amidst the jam-packed Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

A question related to Virat Kohli was asked on Kaun Banega Crorepati. The question was asked to a contestant as to who became the first player to score 9000+ runs for a single franchisee in IPL. And the answer for that question was Virat Kohli. The host of the show, Amitabh Bachchan narrated the story of RCB’s win and also recalled how emotional Virat Kohli became after winning the trophy and what a victory means to a legend, even after he has achieved so much in the game.
