In a defining moment of the second ODI between the India Women (IND-W) and Australia Women (AUS-W) at Mullanpur, Radha Yadav displayed brilliant fielding ability. She took a super diving catch in the 25th over to dismiss the dangerous Ellyse Perry for 44 runs. Perry was attempting to drive a full delivery from Yadav and got it wrong, hitting it back down the pitch directly to the bowler. Yadav quickly dived to her left to take an excellent, low catch, causing the crowd to erupt and allowing India to get the all-important wicket.

When Perry was dismissed, Australia was struggling at 108/4 still needing 185 to win. Perry's wicket, being an experienced player, really hurt Australia's middle order. Once Perry was out, Australia had to pick up the pace, which added pressure to the rest of the batters.

Earlier on in the match, India Women made a massive total of 292 runs with the help of an excellent century by Smriti Mandhana. Smriti's 117 off 91 balls was not only the highest score by India in this series but also the highest total by an Indian side in ODIs against Australia. Deepti Sharma (40) and Sneh Rana (24) also threw in their lot with the bat down the order. Although the knock-outs from the trio were outstanding, Australia’s bowling unit, spearheaded by Darcie Brown (3-42) and Ashleigh Gardner (2-39), put a stop to India at 292 runs, thus preventing them from reaching a 300-plus score
