Cricket has been a cruel game at times, and Kagiso Rabada and Rahmanullah Gurbaz tasted it on different stages during the T20 World Cup 2026 encounter between South Africa and Afghanistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gurbaz played a sensational knock in their main innings of 20 overs and kept the hopes alive even in the second super-over, but things didn’t go in his favor.

A video has gone viral on a social media platform where Rahmanullah Gurbaz was seen sitting in the dug-out after the end of the clash with his hands on his head. The entire Afghan side also stood and had water in their eyes by the time the presentation ceremony was going on.
