Rohit Sharma's latest Netflix advertisement

The former Indian captain and the veteran opening batter of the national side, Rohit Sharma, recently appeared in an advertisement on Netflix for ‘Stranger Things 5’, as the video has gone viral on social media platforms. It started with Rohit noting ‘garden mey koi nehi ghumega’, which is his notable line from the second Test against England last year in Visakhapatnam.

Rohit discussed the various parts of how important it would be to prepare for the final. He has been in top-notch form with the bat in recent times, despite not featuring in the longest and shortest formats of the game, having put his eye only on the 2027 World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

“Are you strolling in the garden? Listen carefully. The finale is coming. Not just your careers, but your entire lives could get flipped upside down. Don’t move unless I tell you to move. When the opposition plays serious mind games, no helmet is going to save you. I haven’t got any double century (in the near past), but our next opposition can attack from anywhere.” Rohit was heard saying on Netflix.

Rohit returned to the three-match away ODI series against Australia down under with a half-century in Adelaide and an unbeaten century at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). He also celebrated two aggressive centuries against South Africa in Ranchi and Visakhapatnam as the blue brigade earned a 2-1 series victory.

As per the BCCI’s rule, the national players have been made to participate in the domestic event. Rohit will participate for Mumbai in the 2025/26 season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy along with several other national players.
