Pakistan's star opener Sahibzada Farhan slammed an unbeaten century against Namibia in the 35th match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 at the Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo. His performance put Pakistan in a dominant position, as this is a do-or-die game for them. Since they lost their previous game against India, they have yet to qualify for the Super 8 stage.

Farhan hit a 58-ball century to power Pakistan to a mammoth total of 199 runs. Since the target is huge, Namibia will find it difficult to chase it against a dominating Pakistan bowling attack. He hit 11 boundaries and four sixes to reach the century. This was Farhan's maiden century in T20Is for Pakistan, and it came at a crucial moment.

Meanwhile, Farhan becomes the first batter to score 200+ runs in the ongoing tournament as well. In four games, he has scored 220 runs at an average of 73.33. He is surely having a dream tournament so far, but will surely hope for the results to turn out in their favour. Except for the match against India, where he was out on a duck, he has played well in the rest of the games.

This century also came in at the right time since Pakistan needed a huge score that could be defended in the second innings. He played some outstanding shots, dominated the bowlers, and kept the scoreboard going even when wickets were tumbling from the other end.

Pakistan put 200 runs on board for Namibia to chase

Sahibzada Farhan's century and contributions from other batters helped Pakistan put 199 runs on the board. While they lost Saim Ayub early, Farhan and Salman Agha formed a 67-run partnership to give a solid base to the innings. After Agha's wicket, Shadab Khan and Farhan formed another partnership of 81 runs that helped them reach a solid total.

Now, with a must-win game, Pakistan bowlers and fielders will have to pull up their socks and play some brilliant cricket to book their seats. If Pakistan lose today, they'll be knocked out of the tournament and the USA will qualify along with India.
